Denver Zoo

Adopted Pets are on their way...

Due to generous donations, our class was able to adopt an endangered animal. The class selected to adopt a "tub of cubs." The adoption certificate, information card, a picture of our pet, and three stuffed animals should be arriving prior to spring break! Thank you so much...the kids were SO excited to hear that they were able to help our ecosystem!

Class Adoption

Our Learners would like to adopt an endangered animal from World Wildlife Funds. A donation of $2.00 from each child will allow our class to recieve information on an endangered animal, a plush animal, and a certificate of adoption. CSAP Prep Group

Our 3rd graders have been involved in a group that is preparing them for their first time taking the CSAP test. For the last few weeks we have discussed the type of test takers we are and tips on how to be a "test hero!" This morning, the 3rd graders took their first practice reading test in Ms. Oaks class. During our CSAP prep, we discussed our answers and how we can prepare ourselves better.

3rd grade Reading CSAP is scheduled to take place on February 23rd and 24th at 9:00am. The writing and math portions will take place in March.

Tis' the Season for Giving...

Supporting one another…

The Montessori program is making sandwiches for the Food Pantry of Brighton. Each month, a class will be assigned to make sandwiches. Mrs. Tate’s class has been assigned to make sandwiches in the fall (December 14^th) and in the spring. We will make as many as we can and send them to the Pantry at 10:00am.

The goal for our class is to make 100!

I would like to have parents volunteer their time by making sandwiches at the school and/or donating items. We are in need of bread, lunch meet, and cheese slices. Packets of mayonnaise, mustard, etc. are welcome, but not necessary. (Putting these spreads directly onto the sandwiches will make them soggy, therefore packets are much more accommodating.) If you are interested in helping, please fill out the pink sheet sent home today and return to Mrs. Tate. Please bring all food materials in on December 13^th. Thank you for your support and generosity!

Thanksgiving Feast

Mrs. Tate and Mrs. Rollman's Montessori classrooms will be joining together on November 23rd from 11:00 to 12:00pm in the 1st/2nd grade hallway. An invitation went home last week stating what we would like for you to bring to share at the feast. Desserts and side dishes will be in my room and main dishes in Mrs. Rollman's.
